Formalities

Every country has its own legislation in the patent field. This legislation is complex and subject to constant change.

The Formalities Officers at Patent Forward are officially qualified and fully conversant with the legislation relating to Dutch, European and international patent procedures.

We are proud to say that they are the only qualified Formalities Officers in our region.

A Formalities Officer has the task of:

- dealing with filings and all formalities arising during the grant procedure;

- entering and monitoring due dates and keeping the patent portfolio management system up to date;

- maintaining contacts with clients, agents and patent-granting bodies at home and abroad;

- other work involved in supporting patent attorneys.

We register all patents and patent applications in our professional patent portfolio management system. Using this system we monitor the relevant due dates in the various procedures on your behalf. Your patent portfolio is in safe hands with us!
